On a Friday morning early in January 2009 I had breakfast with friends in a restaurant overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Given it was our first meeting after the new year my friend asked me “hey JT, what’s your new years resolution”. I replied with just two words “Passive Income“.

I can help you set up and run a website designed to make Passive Proceeds – i.e money while you sleep. The amount of money will entirely depend on the type of site, your willingness to learn and perseverance. Facing Financial Disaster

My passive income adventure in actual fact had started just 4 and a half months earlier. My day job in real estate was not producing any real cash flow. Long term players were leaving my industry by the bus load, global markets were in meltdown and for the first time ever I faced the very real possibility of losing my home. This was the catalyst for me to venture out to find sources of long term passive income to supplement the cash flow from my “day job”.

Another consequence of the global crisis was the impact of the global markets on what little superannuation I had managed to scrape together. Somewhere between 20 and 25% was wiped off the value over night – I was not alone and not the worst affected by any means! Still more amazing to me was the fact that my superannuation companies still charged a “management fee” for presiding over one of the largest losses in living memory.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a place for superannuation, however I do not believe that you can totally rely on it to look after your family in retirement.

Amazing Fact

When I started to look around I realised that compared to many “normal” business start-up costs, owning Internet virtual property had a very low initial investment and was consequently very low risk.

Yes you do have to have a few technical skills, however many people can learn what they need, others can simply hire others to do the geek stuff.

If you had:-

274 Domain names in your portfolio earning an average of $1 per day, you would earn $100,000 per year income.

100 Domain names in your portfolio earning an average of $2.74 per day, you would earn $100,000 per year income.

10 Domain names in your portfolio earning an average of $27.39 per day, you would earn $100,000 per year income.

1 Domain name in your portfolio earning an average of $274 per day, you would earn $100,000 per year income.
